Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments through virtual consultations, documenting each client's history and needs from intake through treatment.

• Perform comprehensive evaluations of clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to tailor individualized treatment plans.

• Develop, implement, and monitor effective intervention and recovery strategies for a variety of demographics, including individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, adapting techniques to suit client preferences and therapeutic goals.

• Track client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and client satisfaction.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to create integrated intervention plans.

• Provide ongoing support and psychoeducation for family members and caregivers, helping them navigate challenges related to mental health.

• Identify potential barriers to recovery, offering proactive strategies to mitigate any hindrances to client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Grateful Growth Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults facing a broad spectrum of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Our client-centered approach ensures that therapy is tailored to each individual's needs, fostering a supportive space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure (LMFT, LPCC, LCSW) in the state of California.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing effective therapeutic practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR or equivalent platforms, to maintain accurate and secure client documentation.

• Experience addressing co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Knowledge of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines.

• Strong understanding of the effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals on mental health.
