As a therapist at Global Life Mental Healthcare, you will primarily work in a remote setting, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions and group therapy in our outpatient center, adapting modalities to meet the unique needs of each client.

• Implement therapeutic strategies focused on anger management, coping skills, and social interactions, while actively working to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior and physical aggression.

• Enhance decision-making skills in youth and caregivers to better manage behavioral challenges within the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate seamlessly with the Child Family Treatment Team and multidisciplinary professionals, ensuring comprehensive support for each youth and family in our care.
\n
• Document all required assessments and treatment plans accurately and timely, including intake forms and progress notes, to meet compliance standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing insights and recommendations based on therapeutic outcomes and experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on children ages 3 to 20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Your expertise will help bridge the gap for these children and their families, providing essential support to navigate emotional and behavioral difficulties. The patient demographic is incredibly diverse, enriching your professional experience and fostering growth within the therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory to practice in the state of Massachusetts.

• Availability for a minimum commitment of 5-10 hours per week, primarily during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM, with additional weekend hours considered a plus.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client homes.
\n
• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check, including fingerprinting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support to children and families facing challenges related to developmental and intellectual disabilities is highly desirable.

• Proven track record of working effectively with children aged 3 to 20, understanding their unique emotional and developmental needs.

Compensation and Benefits\n
