Work Environment

The physical therapist position is based in our modern, fully equipped rehabilitation center, which fosters a supportive and collaborative environment. Our facility promotes an atmosphere of continuous learning and professional development, with regular team meetings and opportunities for case discussions. The typical work schedule is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, allowing for a well-structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized care by assessing each patient's specific needs and setting attainable treatment goals based on their conditions and lifestyle.
• Manage a balanced caseload to ensure you can provide sufficient time and attention to each patient, facilitating effective therapy sessions.
• Implement evidence-based orthopedic treatment strategies, utilizing your expertise and prior experience to enhance patient mobility.
• Focus on non-surgical rehabilitation approaches to promote recovery while minimizing reliance on medication.
• Craft and establish comprehensive treatment plans that include a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions suited to individual patient requirements.
• Design and implement customized fitness and wellness programs that encourage patient participation and engagement in their own recovery processes.
• Monitor patient progress thoroughly, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes and enhance recovery pathways.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient encounters, treatments administered, and outcomes achieved, ensuring compliance with all healthcare documentation standards.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to create an integrated approach to patient care.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, promoting a positive and proactive approach to health and wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves an active patient population looking to recover from various musculoskeletal injuries, surgical interventions, or physical limitations. You will work with athletes from various sports backgrounds seeking rehabilitation and corrective therapy as well as individuals pursuing functional recovery to enhance their daily lives. Your role will be pivotal in transforming the experiences of these patients through compassionate care and expert guidance.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active and unencumbered Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia.
• A strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and a remarkable ability to create effective exercise protocols.
• Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for accurate and efficient documentation practices.
• Up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy methodologies and practices, supported by current research findings.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting, particularly in an orthopedic or sports medicine capacity.
• Demonstrable success in implementing individualized rehabilitation programs that achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• An established record of participating in collaborative healthcare efforts and multidisciplinary team activities.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
