Sales Organization Description Our Sales Organization consists of multiple business segments. Teams sell across verticals such as Financial Services, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Retail & Consumer Goods, Communications Media & Technology, Consumer Business Services, Public Sector, Professional Services, Slack, MuleSoft, Tableau, Marketing Cloud, Specialization Cloud, Enterprise Corporate Sales, and .ORG (Non Profit & Education). Core Teams sell the entire Salesforce Platform and Prime teams specialize in specific cloud solutions including Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Commerce Cloud, Heroku, or Quip. Business Development Representative (BDR) Team Our BDR team focuses on generating new business and whitespace pipeline through outbound prospecting with the ultimate goal of closed‑won business. You will work in a fast‑paced team, gaining experience with a variety of future customers and receiving personalized training and career opportunities. BDRs support outbound sales teams through strategic prospecting and extensive account research, consistently creating millions of dollars of new business pipeline each year. BDRs are enrolled in an intensive sales training program that develops fundamental skills for a successful sales career at Salesforce. Day to Day Responsibilities Generate new business pipeline primarily through outbound prospecting. Manage inbound leads driven by outbound effort. Nurture early‑stage opportunities. Initiate outbound cold calling to existing Salesforce customers and cross‑sell into new logos in an assigned territory. Partner with core sellers to identify and source net new pipeline, researching lines of business and personas. Align with the internal account team. Identify key decision makers within new accounts. Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and think creatively. Experience researching, planing, prospecting, and cold‑calling a large hybrid list of accounts. Proven track record of meeting sales metrics and consistently achieving year‑over‑year quota attainment. In specific locations such as California, New York, and major cities in Boston, Chicago, Seattle, and Washington DC, the range is $55,640 - $74,490 yearly.
