Senior Account Director/VP, Experiential

Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote per week)

(Candidate must be based in NYC or willing to relocate)

THE ROLE

The Senior Account Director/VP serves as a day-to-day leader within our tech and entertainment accounts, driving best-in-class work and strong team performance. They lead client and partner management, ensuring clear communication, thoughtful program recommendations, and smooth execution across timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Working closely with creative and production partners, they help shape innovative, culturally relevant brand experiences from concept and budget development through live execution, guest experience, and all brand touchpoints. They manage and mentor junior team members, overseeing onboarding, training, and workload planning, while also supervising the development of marketing and event materials. The Account Director builds trusted client relationships and is accountable for tracking budgets, analyzing performance, and delivering smart, insightful reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a leader in day-to-day account management and team performance.
\n
• Lead project management including clear and thorough client and partner communications, program recommendations, oversee meeting agendas and recaps, internal and client timelines, and general program management.
\n

• Successfully manage, mentor, help develop and train junior account team members.
\n
• Work with team leadership to strategize and execute innovative and results driven brand experience campaigns, challenging convention and asserting client's relevance.
\n
• Work closely with creative and production teams, to see projects through from ideation to execution including concept & budget development, timelines, guest experience, brand touchpoints, etc.
\n
• Onboarding, mentoring, managing, setting expectations and training of the Account Team to grow and excel in their positions as well as understand team needs based on current and upcoming workloads
\n
• Have a pulse on culture to identify moments, partners and trends to strengthen our work.
\n
• Develop trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders throughout the organization.
\n
• Work closely and collaborate with creative partners including CIVIC creative team and creatives/designers across graphics, scenic, content, copy, etc.
\n
• Supervise design and production of creative marketing & event materials.
\n
• Work closely and collaborate with production and creative teams to see live experiences from ideation to execution including concept & budget development, timelines, guest experience, brand touchpoints, etc.
\n
• Create and manage project tracking budgets.
\n
• Analyze campaign performance metrics and reporting in client project recaps.
\n

EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

\n
• 10+ years of client-facing experience in experiential marketing, including direct account management.
\n
• 3+ years managerial experience mentoring and developing junior team members; comfortable giving feedback and setting expectations.
\n
• Strong client relationship skills, with experience serving as day-to-day lead and strategic partner to senior stakeholders.
\n
• Proven creative, communication and organizational skills; demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with creative, design, and production teams to bring brand experiences to life.
\n
• Demonstrated experience developing presentations and decks.
\n
• Knowledge of the entertainment industry plus a passion for entertainment, reading/listening, and/or pop culture.
\n
