Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine clients’ mental health status and needs.

• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique therapeutic goals.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Utilize tools such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to effectively manage clients’ mental health challenges.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring alignment with best practices in mental health care.

• Provide referrals to other healthcare providers and community resources, such as psychiatrists or support groups, when additional interventions are necessary.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions in our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will encompass a diverse client demographic, including individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. The ability to engage effectively with clients from various backgrounds, including those from underrepresented communities, will be key in promoting inclusive care. As a mental health counselor, you will be expected to uphold cultural competence throughout your interactions, ensuring all clients feel understood and valued.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A minimum of four years of direct clinical experience in a counseling or therapy setting, demonstrating a strong foundation in mental health treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n
