Work Environment

As a member of our Tampa rehabilitation center, you will work onsite in a well-equipped facility specifically designed to cater to the unique needs of our patients. You will engage in a Monday to Friday schedule, totaling 40 hours per week, allowing you a fulfilling work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Avecina, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess patient needs and developing tailored treatment programs based on referrals from physicians.
• Implementing evidence-based interventions and skilled therapeutic techniques to facilitate recovery and enhance functional mobility.
• Continuing education and training to improve your practice based on the latest advancements in physical therapy.
• Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals within the facility to maximize patient outcomes, contributing to a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
• Providing patient education to both clients and their caregivers on injury prevention, therapeutic exercises, and strategies for maintaining mobility.
• Meeting organizational performance objectives by efficiently managing your caseload while ensuring quality patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will encompass treatment for a diverse patient population, including individuals from orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine backgrounds. You'll implement personalized therapy plans aimed at helping patients regain their previous quality of life, particularly during their rehabilitation journey. This variety ensures you are continually challenged and engaged while making a significant impact in the lives of those you serve.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a therapeutic setting.
• A current CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills essential for patient education and collaboration with colleagues.
• Proficiency in basic computer software and word processing tools.
• A passion for fostering patient relationships and a commitment to their recovery journey.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to connect positively with both patients and the community.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with experience in multidisciplinary team settings, those who have specialized training in advanced therapeutic techniques, and familiarity with using technology to enhance patient care (e.g., telehealth solutions).
