Work Environment\n

This role is primarily conducted through telehealth, providing the flexibility to deliver counseling and therapeutic services remotely. Your work hours will typically be Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening and weekend shifts to accommodate the needs of our clients. You will engage with a team of professionals who collaborate closely to ensure comprehensive care delivery, while also having opportunities to build rapport and trust with students and their families in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for students displaying a range of special needs, identifying their strengths and challenges.

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans tailored to address each student's emotional and psychological needs.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions suited for students with ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and ADHD.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to enhance students' emotional regulation, personal growth, and coping strategies.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure integrated care for each student.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention during mental health emergencies as they arise, ensuring the safety and well-being of students.
\n
• Educate students and their families regarding mental health conditions, available resources, and coping techniques.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, including electronic health records.
\n
• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to enhance your skill set and teamwork.

• Stay up-to-date with current laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines related to mental health practices.

Your primary focus will be on students with diverse mental health needs, particularly those diagnosed with ASD, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other emotional and behavioral disorders. By providing individualized and compassionate support, you will enhance their ability to integrate successfully into the school community and promote their overall emotional health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current, valid LCSW licensure in the state of New York.

• Proven understanding of mental health disorders, along with experience in evidence-based treatment modalities and trauma-informed care.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that foster meaningful relationships with students and families.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems to document services and treatment progress.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferably in a school-based or special education setting.

• Strong crisis intervention skills, exhibiting the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
