Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments of clients’ mental health status through comprehensive interviews and evidence-based evaluation tools.

• Develop individualized treatment plans to address specific mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, substance use, and trauma-related disorders.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, both individual and group, to provide ongoing support and therapeutic interventions.

• Utilize therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and solution-focused approaches, tailored to each client's needs.

• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) to ensure documentation of client progress and treatment efficacy.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide integrated care and appropriate referrals as needed.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to facilitate optimal outcomes.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support in challenging situations, ensuring client safety and well-being.

• Participate in continuous professional development and training to stay current with best practices in the field of mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice works with a diverse client base, including children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges. Counselors may encounter patients dealing with substance abuse, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and behavioral issues. We value cultural competence and strive to understand each client’s unique background and experiences as we develop and implement their treatment plans.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of four years of direct experience in mental health counseling or a related field.
\n
• Comprehensive knowledge of mental health disorders and therapeutic modalities supported by evidence-based practices.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds and create a trusting therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
