Key Responsibilities\n

• Facilitate individual therapy sessions and group therapy, focusing on psychoeducation, coping strategies, and peer support to foster a healing environment.

• Lead psychoeducational workshops that empower patients with knowledge about mental health conditions and coping mechanisms.

• Act swiftly during mental health crises by providing effective crisis intervention services and guiding patients to appropriate resources.

• Maintain detailed, confidential patient records electronically while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate actively in interprofessional case consultations, contributing to a collaborative treatment approach.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through training, workshops, and review of current mental health research.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice caters to a diverse patient demographic within the Oxnard community, including individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse issues. Counselors are expected to demonstrate cultural competency while addressing the unique needs of each patient, thereby fostering an inclusive approach to mental health treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough mental health assessments and create actionable treatment plans.
