Vitality Therapy Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW) to join our specialized team serving children and adolescents. In this full-time role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality mental health care to young individuals and their families in a remote outpatient setting based in Jacksonville, Florida. Work Environment\n

This position operates primarily in a remote work setting, with the flexibility to engage virtually with patients while minimizing barriers to access. Regular Monday to Friday working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM will be observed, with the potential for occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to understand the specific needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Develop tailored treatment plans, taking into account each patient’s developmental stage, psychosocial context, and family dynamics.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Family Therapy, to effectively address mental health issues.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to equip parents and caregivers with strategies to enhance their children's emotional well-being.
\n
• Collaborate actively with our team of child psychiatrists and other professionals to provide coordinated, interdisciplinary care for each patient.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention support when dealing with mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective assistance is rendered.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, the therapeutic process, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in alignment with organizational, legal, and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in ongoing team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

• Stay informed about the latest research, developments, and best practices in child and adolescent mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily focus on treating children and adolescents facing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and behavioral disorders. By actively engaging with younger clients, you will play a crucial role in their development and ensure they receive compassionate, evidence-based care that fosters emotional resilience and healing.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of Florida.

• In-depth understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities.
\n
• Experience providing individual and family therapy, especially for children and adolescents.
\n
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a sincere, compassionate approach toward children and families.

• Proven ability to establish trust and rapport with young clients and their caregivers.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in relevant computer applications.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing mental health services to children and adolescents in clinical settings.

• Experience with telehealth or remote counseling services is a plus, given the nature of the remote work environment.

• Prior involvement with crisis intervention or support for at-risk youth is highly desirable.
