Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health status through individual consultations, utilizing evidence-based practices to collect and interpret data.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic modalities tailored to individual or group needs, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques.

• Actively monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the most effective outcomes and provide necessary tools for coping and recovery.

• Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists or specialists, when additional support or resources may be beneficial for the client.

• Document each session and all client interactions accurately and timely in our electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain compliance and uphold confidentiality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Peace of Mind Counseling Services, you will work with diverse populations who may experience a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety disorders, major depressive disorder, trauma-related conditions, and substance abuse issues. This role emphasizes cultural competence and a strong understanding of the nuances of different client backgrounds to ensure all individuals receive empathetic and informed care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• A minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling, demonstrating a strong background in individual and group therapy.

• Deep knowledge of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies with a commitment to ongoing learning.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and management.
