About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Oncology Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day and Night rotations Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of oncology experience preferred, but not required. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. Must-Have: Competence in handling a high acuity patient population. Pediatric experience is not required. Experience with telemetry and medical surgical units is acceptable. Description: Mixed acuity unit caring for medical oncology patients. Approximately 48 beds available, divided between critical care and medical surgical areas. Focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention. Ability to self-schedule preferred. First week of orientation will be on day shift. Second week will involve on-unit orientation with a preceptor. Patients will have a variety of diagnoses, from solid tumors to some blood cancers. Chemotherapy competence is not required, but training will be provided. Special equipment includes telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, and PCA pumps. Staffing ratios aim for 1:4 to 1:5, but may vary based on unit needs. Weekend shifts may be required based on unit demands. Professional growth and development opportunities available.
