Work Environment\n

This position will be part of a collaborative and multidisciplinary team, where you will work alongside psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals. The work setting is designed to promote a safe and conducive atmosphere for traumatic recovery. You will have the flexibility to schedule appointments and deliver your services remotely, with some shifts required to meet patient demands in our outpatient office. Our ideal working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to establish patients' trauma backgrounds and develop suitable treatment plans.

• Create, implement, and review individualized treatment strategies aimed at fostering recovery and resilience among patients.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in your practice.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, guiding patients in processing their trauma, enhancing coping strategies, and promoting overall healing.
\n
• Work in tandem with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure seamless and integrated care for all patients.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to patients during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and resources available to support their recovery.

• Maintain precise, confidential documentation in compliance with relevant legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay updated with current research, innovations, and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance your clinical skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals who have experienced significant trauma and are navigating the complexities of recovery. These may include survivors of abuse, neglect, or other traumatic experiences, as well as those dealing with PTSD and related disorders. Your expert guidance will be crucial in helping them find hope and resilience in their therapeutic journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting focused on trauma treatment is preferred.

• Proficiency in using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
