Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough assessments through preliminary interviews and documenting cases from the initial consultation through the course of treatment.

• Evaluating clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, and determining the best course of therapeutic action.
\n
• Developing personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitating engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for open communication.
\n
• Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Collaborating regularly with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to develop comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Providing follow-up communications with medical professionals regarding clients' hospital admissions or transitions in care.
\n
• Identifying potential barriers to recovery and implementing preventive strategies to address these challenges.

• Supporting family members and primary caregivers in managing their loved ones' mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse array of clients, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Our outpatient services focus on community integration and the promotion of mental health wellness, making your contribution vital to the recovery and stability of each client’s path towards improved health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Illinois is essential.

• Successful completion and passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A strong foundation of previous experience in mental health counseling is required.
\n
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective patient documentation and management.
\n
• An understanding of dual diagnoses involving physical health conditions and addiction disorders is preferred.

• Familiarity with standards set by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and best practices in psychotherapy.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a deeply compassionate nature suited for client-focused care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in crisis intervention and assessment techniques, including risk management strategies.

• Ongoing professional development in the mental health field, including familiarity with contemporary therapeutic methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise.
