Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental and emotional health, while diligently documenting cases from the initial consultation to treatment conclusion.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups based on specific needs and objectives.

• Facilitate engaging and productive therapy sessions, both individually and in groups, using evidence-based practices to enhance client participation and progress.

• Monitor and evaluate clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health specialists, to create holistic intervention plans.

• Identify barriers to recovery and implement proactive strategies to overcome them, ensuring clients remain engaged in their treatment plans.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in understanding mental health challenges and developing strategies to aid their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role entails working with a varied patient population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and behavioral challenges. Clients come from diverse backgrounds, and your personalized approach will be critical in helping them navigate their unique circumstances. Your ability to build trust and rapport will significantly impact our clients' recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider (LPC/MHSP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Tennessee.

• A passing score on relevant national examinations, including the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor, with a robust understanding of best practices in psychotherapy and mental health interventions.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain accurate and confidential client information.

• Experience addressing underlying physical and emotional conditions, along with addiction disorders, to provide comprehensive care.

• A strong foundation in the applications of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices in the treatment process.

• In-depth knowledge of the effects of medications prescribed by other healthcare providers, ensuring comprehensive treatment planning.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to articulate treatment strategies clearly and empathetically.
\n
• Highly developed interpersonal skills coupled with a sympathetic and understanding demeanor towards clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

West Hills Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary between $80,000 and $100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
