Position Title: Remote Legal Billing Specialist

This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of legal billing processes within a remote work environment. The specialist will manage billing for insurance carriers, focusing on commercial and employment litigation practices. The position requires an understanding of various billing platforms and the ability to present data effectively to partners. Candidates should be prepared to handle diverse tasks, including file uploads and communication with attorneys regarding time entries. The opportunity offers flexibility in working hours, accommodating different time zones while maintaining a commitment to training in Eastern Time.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 / Year DOE

Responsibilities:

• Perform billing calls and manage uploads to third-party insurance hubs
• Assist with ad-hoc projects, including scheduling meetings and ordering supplies
• Monitor attorney time entries, sending reminders and setting deadlines
• Review time entries for accuracy and flag any issues
• Submit billing approvals to insurance carriers based on provided guidelines
• Handle appeals as necessary

Requirements:

• 2+ years of legal billing experience
• Familiarity with LEDES files and billing for insurance carriers, particularly in commercial litigation and employment litigation
• Knowledge of third-party billing platforms
• Proficient in Excel for data presentation
• Experience with eBillingHub, CounselLink, Tymetrix 360, Legal Tracker, or QuickBooks is preferred
