Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite within our outpatient office, where we create an inviting, patient-centered atmosphere. Our typical work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a structured yet flexible environment conducive to personal and professional growth. With a small team of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapy Assistant, you will quickly become an integral part of a close-knit group dedicated to excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patient needs and set achievable objectives for rehabilitation.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Administer hands-on therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
• Maintain a patient caseload of one individual per hour, ensuring each session is tailored to the patient's progress.
• Educate patients on exercise routines and wellness strategies to promote a healthy lifestyle beyond therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care and share treatment insights.
• Document patient progress accurately in electronic medical records (EMR) and communicate effectively about treatment outcomes.
• Motivate and encourage patients to achieve their functional goals while fostering a supportive and empowering environment.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust approaches based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Flexibility First, we primarily serve individuals carrying private medical insurance, focusing on a wide-ranging patient population that includes athletes, active adults, and individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries. Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, free from any disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques essential for effective patient treatment.
• Excellent ability to design and implement progressive exercise programs aimed at improving patient outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience as a Physical Therapist specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits
