Jr. Staff Accountant

Position: Junior Staff Accountant, Corporate Accounting Reports To: Corporate Accounting Manager Overview The Junior Staff Accountant, Corporate Accounting ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, reconciling, consolidating, and entering financial data. Primary Activities Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintains corporate trial balance by analyzing account activity and completing monthly reconciliations. Posts adjusting journal entries as deemed necessary. Reviews and consolidates the company’s worldwide headcount report. Prepares and reviews all monthly stock compensation journals, including preparation of supporting deferred tax calculations and paid‑in‑capital reconciliation. Reviews the company’s external financial statements, footnotes and disclosures in the Form 10‑Q and Form 10‑K filings with the SEC. Participates in the company’s internal control compliance effort surrounding Sarbanes‑Oxley s404 by preparing support for controls and assisting internal audit with testing. Performs ad hoc projects as needed. Experience & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance. CPA, Masters/MBA, and/or prior experience in a public accounting firm are desirable but not required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint. Experience with Oracle FCCS, Workiva for SEC reporting, and Microsoft Power Query is desirable but not required. Capable of working as a team player and comfortable as part of a “hands‑on” team of professionals. Strong work ethic a must. Ability to exercise proper judgment with above‑average analytical skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Willingness to learn, receive feedback and grow.
