Assistant Men’s Golf Coach Posting Number: S15217P | Department: Athletics – Men’s Golf | Location: Athens, Georgia | Salary: $100,000 (commensurate with experience) | Proposed Start Date: 07/01/2026. Job Summary: The Assistant Men’s Golf Coach will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf program, including recruiting, coaching, practice organization, program administration, and promotion activities. This role requires strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related coaching experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a student‑athlete, coach, or support staff member of a Division I intercollegiate men’s golf program. Key Responsibilities Recruit, scout, and evaluate student‑athletes for the UGA men’s golf program. Assist the Head Coach with coaching of intercollegiate golfers. Organize and conduct practices and competitions. Order and distribute equipment and apparel to student‑athletes. Assist in fundraising and promotion activities. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to organize and administer all phases of a NCAA Division I Men’s Golf program. Ability to evaluate and recruit qualified student‑athletes who are competitive in the SEC and nationally. Knowledge of NCAA, SEC, and institutional policies and procedures in men’s golf. Ability to manage a budget. Strong organizational skills in coordinating recruiting travel and visit itineraries. Participation and support of public relations, fundraising, and promotional activities. Physical Demands & Other Requirements Stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms; lift or move up to 25 pounds. Required vision: close, distance, and peripheral vision. Noise level moderate, increases to high during practice and competition. Driving required for job tasks.
