Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, providing you the flexibility to manage your schedule while still being a vital part of a collaborative mental health team. You will be connected digitally with colleagues and also engage with clients and their families through telehealth options, making our services accessible and convenient for those we serve. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions either in-home or via telehealth platforms, adapting treatment interventions based on the client’s needs and progress.

• Implement strategies for anger management and coping skills, focusing on reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Guide youth and their caregivers in developing positive decision-making skills to manage behavioral challenges effectively within the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team, working together to provide holistic support while communicating essential insights and strategies.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and intake assessments in compliance with organizational standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to share observations and contribute to continuous improvement of therapeutic practices and program development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary clients will include children aged 3 to 20 years who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities. You will be equipped to employ culturally sensitive therapeutic approaches that recognize and respect the diverse backgrounds of the families you serve. This role is pivotal in improving the emotional and social well-being of these children while providing crucial support to their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically between 4 PM and 7 PM; flexibility for weekend hours is a plus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in providing positive behavior support and intervention strategies.
\n
• Previous experience working with youth ages 3-20, especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), highly preferred.

• A valid driver’s license along with a registered vehicle for potential in-home sessions and community engagement.
\n
• A successful completion of a background check including fingerprinting to ensure the safety and security of clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
