Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs using standardized tools and interviews to form a clear understanding of their unique situations.

• Construct and implement personalized treatment plans that align with each client’s goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.

• Facilitate engaging therapy sessions utilizing diverse methodologies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based practices.

• Collaborate with clients to identify effective coping strategies and develop skills that enable them to manage their symptoms and enhance their quality of life.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with legal standards and ethical guidelines, ensuring clarity and accessibility for future reference.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Beacon of Hope, you will engage with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Your role is to provide tailored support that empowers clients from various backgrounds to navigate their mental health journeys effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• An independent license is required, with options including: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). Limited or provisional licenses are not accepted.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a sympathetic and understanding demeanor towards clients.
\n
• Ability to make informed clinical evaluations and decisions regarding treatment planning and implementation.
\n
• Strong computer literacy skills for effective communication and client management within telehealth platforms.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, prior experience in telehealth counseling or familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities is preferred. Experience working with specific populations, such as children, LGBTQ+, or veterans, can be a valuable asset.
