Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations to assess clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that effectively address the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to promote client engagement and recovery.

• Document every stage of the counseling process diligently—from initial consultations through ongoing progress assessments.

• Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention strategies.

• Provide necessary follow-ups for clients transitioning to or from hospital admissions, ensuring continuity of care.

• Assist families and primary caregivers in navigating the complexities of mental health challenges within their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve working with individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. You will provide compassionate care tailored to varying demographics, including children, adolescents, adults, and families within the Lynn community and its surroundings. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, for effective client management and documentation.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and empathetically.
\n
• Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal skills, showing a genuine interest in and compassion for client well-being.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor in a remote or community health clinic setting.

• Familiarity with best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Experience in treating a diverse client population with various mental health issues and co-occurring conditions, including addiction disorders.

• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacological treatments and their effects as prescribed by medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n
