Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct diverse assessments to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals struggling with substance use disorders.

• Utilize evidence-based methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing in individual counseling sessions.

• Facilitate engaging group therapy sessions that encourage shared experiences and foster community support among participants.

• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care pathways for each patient.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during substance-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and empathetic assistance.

• Educate patients and their families on addiction recovery strategies and available community resources to foster informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate progress notes and documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, reflecting changes in treatment plans as required.

• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations to share insights and evolve treatment strategies based on the latest industry practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with veterans and their families, many of whom are facing the challenges of substance use disorders related to stressors associated with military service. This role requires an empathetic approach, as you will cater to a population with unique experiences and needs, advocating for their well-being and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid State Licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
\n
• A strong grasp of evidence-based treatment models for substance use disorders and recovery-oriented care.
\n
• Experience conducting both individual and group therapy sessions within addiction treatment settings.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, conveying empathy and authenticity in client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of three years' experience in mental health therapy, particularly in substance use disorder treatment.
