Work Environment

The role is fully remote, providing flexibility and convenience for our team members. Your work will primarily be conducted during regular office hours, specifically Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend responsibilities, aligned with our mission to support students and their families effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored to identify the unique needs of students with diverse special needs, ensuring accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on mental health and emotional well-being, incorporating various evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, promoting personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping mechanisms, particularly for those with ASD, emotional and behavioral disorders, and ADHD.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of a student’s well-being.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring students receive timely assistance.
• Deliver psychoeducation to students and their families, helping them understand mental health conditions, treatment strategies, and available resources.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of sessions and assessments, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate actively in team meetings and case conferences, contributing to collective improvements in care delivery.
• Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in mental health support within educational settings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on students enrolled in special education programs who may be experiencing a range of mental health challenges. Many of these individuals face unique barriers, including ASD, ADHD, and other emotional and behavioral disorders. Your role will be significant in fostering their emotional and psychological resilience, leading to improved academic and personal outcomes within these vulnerable populations.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid LCSW license to practice in the state.
• A comprehensive understanding of mental health disorders and trauma-informed care.
• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and developing strategic treatment plans.
• Experience in individual and group therapy settings, utilizing varied therapeutic approaches.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at building rapport with students and their families.
• Strong judgment and adherence to professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer literacy.

Preferred Experience

• Two years of post-licensure experience is preferred.
• Experience working with special populations and knowledge of special education regulations is highly desirable.
• Skills in providing crisis intervention and managing high-stress situations effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
