Work Environment

This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your own home while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team. As a member of our Mental Health Team, which collaborates with educators, therapists, and other specialists, you will contribute to a holistic approach that prioritizes every student's mental health and well-being. Communication tools and electronic health record (EHR) systems enable seamless interaction, ensuring that you remain engaged with the team and maintain high standards of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Remote Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will:

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs of students with diverse special needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that target emotional well-being and behavioral challenges, supporting students' successful integration into educational settings.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to conditions such as ASD, ADHD, emotional and behavioral disorders, and trauma-related issues.
• Conduct both individual and group therapy sessions, facilitating personal growth, emotional regulation, and the development of effective coping strategies.
• Champion crisis intervention by providing immediate support during mental health emergencies, ensuring a safe and responsive environment for students.
• Collaborate closely with educators, speech and occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care from all angles.
• Engage in psychoeducation efforts by informing students and families about mental health conditions and support resources available to them.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards while using EHR systems.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training to continuously improve your therapeutic techniques and foster team cohesion.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with students who face challenges due to autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), emotional disturbances, and trauma. Your interventions will directly contribute to their social and emotional development, helping them navigate their educational journeys effectively.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Georgia.
• A strong foundation in mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and trauma-informed care principles.
• Knowledge and experience in conducting mental health assessments and formulating treatment plans tailored to individual student needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that enhance collaboration and crisis intervention capabilities.
• Proficiency in EHR systems and comfort with technology to ensure accurate record-keeping and participation in virtual team interactions.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in educational settings, experience working with children and adolescents facing diverse psychological challenges will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
