Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct virtual comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate the strengths, needs, and challenges of students, utilizing video conferencing technology to engage and connect.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic practices to address the specific mental health needs of students.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions through remote platforms, effectively utilizing various therapeutic modalities suited to the school environment.
• Coordinate care by collaborating with teachers, school psychologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to each student's well-being.
• Advocate for students' rights, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support services within the community and educational settings.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records by documenting client interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes clearly and professionally.
• Participate in ongoing team meetings, case reviews, and trainings to continually develop your clinical skills and stay updated on best practices in school-based mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents facing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma. Understanding the unique dynamics of the school environment will be crucial in providing effective support and interventions for each student.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Arizona.
• At least three (3) years of post-licensure experience providing clinical social work services, particularly in school or community settings.
• Proficient in conducting diagnostic assessments and developing tailored treatment plans.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
• A commitment to cultural competence, social justice, and ethical practice in all aspects of your work.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within school systems or with adolescent populations.
