Dynamic Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for Remote Cancer Support Services

Position Overview

Great Height Therapy Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for delivering outpatient therapy services to individuals and families facing the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. This position is largely remote, with flexibility for telemedicine and in-person appointments, allowing you to provide essential support while balancing your own commitments.

Work Environment

This position is uniquely set within our Hospice Center, which provides a holistic approach to hospice and palliative care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations of patients' mental health status, utilizing tools compliant with clinical standards, such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

• Develop individualized treatment plans that respect cultural diversity and meet the specific needs of various patients, anticipating their mental health needs and desired outcomes.

• Monitor patient progress continuously, implementing interventions and support strategies tailored to address their mental health challenges.

• Maintain accurate and timely treatment records and clinical documentation using state-of-the-art technology, adhering to regulatory requirements and departmental protocols.

• Collaborate with patients and families to establish an all-encompassing treatment framework that addresses comprehensive needs and goals.

• Coordinate referrals and is responsible for connecting patients with external service providers, ensuring they receive holistic care and support.

• Actively participate in training and mentoring students and interns, fostering a nurturing environment for those entering the field of social work.

• Engage in peer reviews and clinical discussions to support the professional development of team members under the guidance of a clinical supervisor.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The role primarily involves working with patients diagnosed with cancer and their families, who often face immense emotional and psychological distress. As an LCSW, you will be at the forefront of helping them navigate their journey, offering support and strategies to manage their mental health, while also coordinating care with other health professionals to provide comprehensive support.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW license in the State of California.

• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting light loads (up to 25 pounds).

• Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health settings, preferably with oncology patients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic techniques and strong understanding of mental health standards and practices.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, contributing to a culture of excellence and support.

• Experience in hospice or oncology settings is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this role includes a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
