Human Resource Generalist

Description Key Responsibilities Management of HR Information Systems (HRIS). Administration of FMLA and ADA, working in conjunction with executive and senior management and/or Company’s attorneys. Assist and Support with hourly and salary payroll in accordance with company policy. Assist Managers in departmental staffing and recruiting. Implements new hire orientation, e mployee on-boarding and recognition programs. Assist Managers and Supervisors with employee and departmental development. Maintain employee relations, assist in conflict management, including exit interviews with managers. Responsible for tracking training, development, and implementation of continuous education. Assist in compensation and benefits administration and recordkeeping. Responsible for maintaining and understanding all legal requirements and employment law practices, both federal and state. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations AssistManagers and Supervisors with employee evaluations, disciplinary and corrective action activities and employee performance tracking. Assist with employer branding and employee engagement initiatives, including developing and administering employee incentive programs. Responsible for state unemployment responses and all related documentation. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiali ty. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS and talent management systems. Physical and Mental Demands Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, carry, move, push and/or pull up to 20 pounds. Ability to remain stable when bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, carrying, reaching, standing, moving, and/or positioning one’s self. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related discipline. Two years’ experience in a Human Resource Generalist position. One year experience organizing and collecting data for reports. Knowledge of state and federal employment laws . Experience communicating effectively, remaining consistent and organized. Experience with record keeping and maintaining a high level of confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications Experience with UKG Ready HRIS System or similar Four years’ experience in Manufacturing or warehouse setting. Four years’ of experience dealing with employee relations issues such as discipline, evaluations, onboarding and separations. Experience with payroll processing.
