Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to individual student needs, focusing on personal history, presenting issues, and potential risk factors.

• Collaborate with students to formulate and execute personalized treatment plans that address their unique mental health challenges, ultimately enhancing their emotional well-being and school integration.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care, to treat a spectrum of mental health issues.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to promote personal growth, emotional stability, and the development of effective coping mechanisms.

• Work alongside psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental health specialists to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure a holistic approach to student treatment.

• Respond to mental health crises with appropriate interventions, employing de-escalation strategies and referrals to higher levels of care when necessary.

• Provide psychoeducation to students and their families to help them understand mental health conditions and engage with available community resources.

• Maintain precise records and documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with relevant laws and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to foster knowledge sharing and collaborative practice.

• Stay informed of updates in mental health legislation and ethical guidelines relevant to school-based practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The position primarily focuses on students from diverse backgrounds who may face various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma-related issues. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits\n
