Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing critical speech and language services across two school sites in the Volusia County area. You’ll support students at both Volusia Pines Elementary and Taylor Middle-High, working collaboratively within an educational team dedicated to student growth and success. This full-time position spans the 2026-2027 school year, with your expertise making a real difference in learners’ communication and academic outcomes.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Florida Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred
• Previous school-based SLP experience is ideal
• Familiarity with IEP process and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Adaptable, compassionate approach to working with diverse student populations

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, families, and other support staff
• Document student progress thoroughly and maintain records in accordance with school and state guidelines
• Consult with classroom teachers and provide strategies for student support within general education settings
• Communicate regularly with families regarding students’ progress and goals
• Travel between Volusia Pines Elementary and Taylor Middle-High as required by the assignment

This contract runs from August 4th, 2026, through May 28th, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. You’ll be supported by a dedicated educational team and gain valuable experience impacting student achievement in a dynamic, supportive environment.
