Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Endoscopy Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Endoscopy / Procedural Sedation – Wisconsin Start Date: September 28, 2026 Location: Madison, Wisconsin Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 8-hour day/evening shifts with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM. Weeknight call requirement. Flexibility required to stay past shift end to complete daily procedures. Daily census of 20-25 patients across 4 procedure rooms. Highlights: Provide direct patient care during gastrointestinal and bronchoscopy procedures including administration and monitoring of moderate sedation Utilize RN-driven assessment approach to sedation management based on Ramsay Sedation Scale scoring Perform pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care across all levels including PACU Phase I and Phase II recovery Work with advanced GI and pulmonary procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopy, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy Epic EMR system utilized throughout facility Magnet-designated academic medical center ranked as Wisconsin's top hospital Requirements: Active RN license in Wisconsin or multistate compact license (pending Wisconsin license accepted with submission) Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in acute care settings within the last 3 years Recent experience recovering sedated patients undergoing GI and pulmonary procedures Level 1 Trauma Center or similar academic medical center experience required Epic charting system experience required Current AHA ACLS and BLS certifications required Must successfully pass telemetry examination prior to start date with strict passing criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% overall passing score Proficiency in airway management, conscious sedation administration and monitoring, IV initiation and maintenance, and 12-lead EKG interpretation Experience with procedural medications including Propofol, Versed, opioid analgesics, and reversal agents Previous travel nursing experience preferred Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a nationally recognized, Magnet-designated academic medical center known for excellence in patient care, education, and innovation.
