Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting primary care providers by identifying and managing mental health and psychosocial issues, enhancing the overall well-being of patients.

• Conducting thorough patient intakes, focusing on diagnosis and functionality, and formulating treatment recommendations in collaboration with primary care providers.

• Providing brief, focused interventions for patients needing immediate mental health services, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Advising primary care providers on patient referrals to specialty mental health facilities when further intervention is necessary.

• Initiating and conducting follow-up assessments to monitor patient progress and adapting treatment plans based on feedback.

• Developing relapse prevention plans and strategies to maintain patient stability, particularly for those identified as “at risk.”

• Coordinating health services related to behavioral care and liaising with external treatment providers, with patient consent.

• Maintaining thorough documentation of patient progress and ensuring all records adhere to clinical standards.

• Facilitating self-management skills among patients, empowering them in their treatment and recovery journey.

• Consulting with clinic management and team members on behavioral health services and contributing to program evaluation initiatives.

• Assisting patients in adhering to medical treatments initiated by primary care providers, including strategies to effectively manage medication side effects.

Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a relevant field.

• A current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) License to practice in Texas.

• A strong understanding of the DSM-IV diagnoses and behavioral therapy techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This full-time LPC position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
