Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health, including thorough documentation of each case from the consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop and implement effective treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring best practices and updated therapeutic techniques.

• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions to foster clients' personal growth and coping strategies.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment phases, adjusting intervention plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams when necessary.
\n
• Coordinate closely with psychiatrists, attending physicians, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients who may require hospitalization or additional services.
\n
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, thus promoting a supportive home environment conducive to recovery.

• Address and preempt behaviors that may hinder recovery, employing therapeutic techniques to assist clients in overcoming these barriers.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing a range of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. The emphasis on holistic and empathetic care will allow you to form meaningful connections and deliver impactful therapeutic interventions that support each client's unique journey towards improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• Passed score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated knowledge of ethical practices and clinical guidelines established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, equipped to facilitate complex conversations with sensitivity and clarity.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a client-centered, empathetic approach to therapy.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous hands-on experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in community health settings.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, or similar platforms.

• Experience dealing with co-occurring disorders and understanding the interplay between physical and emotional well-being.

• A solid foundation in understanding the pharmacological effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Presence of Mind Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
