Key Responsibilities

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, ensuring alignment with best practices and physician orders.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, utilizing diagnostic tests and evaluations to establish baselines and track progress over time.
• Provide manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and functional activities to enhance rehabilitation outcomes and foster patient independence.
• Supervise the implementation of care delivered by Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment protocols and necessary adjustments based on patient response.
• Regularly document and track patient progress, preparing clinical records including evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries to maintain accurate patient histories.
• Engage in regular case conferences with an interdisciplinary team, contributing to holistic treatment strategies that address each patient's unique needs.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment modalities, pain management strategies, and preventive care to empower them in their own health journeys.
• Actively participate in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting awareness of physical health and the benefits of rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, managing chronic pain, or facing mobility challenges. The focus will be on delivering targeted therapeutic strategies that cater to various age groups, from pediatric to geriatric clients, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention aligned with their specific health goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active physical therapy license in the state of Virginia, or eligibility for licensure in good standing.
• A minimum of one (1) year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally within an outpatient or acute care setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.

Compensation and Benefits
