Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, assessing their physical condition, movement limitations, and functional needs.
• Create personalized treatment plans that align with patients' goals, utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
• Implement evidence-based interventions designed to improve mobility, strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Monitor, document, and evaluate patient progress regularly, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions and the importance of rehabilitation, empowering them toward active participation in their recovery.
• Utilize EMR systems, including Web PT, to ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment efficacy.
• Collaborate efficiently with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and effective care delivery, including referrals to specialists as necessary.
• Engage in continuous professional development, staying current with best practices in physical therapy and advancements in rehabilitation techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient demographic consists predominantly of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, sports-related conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation. You will also encounter patients with chronic pain, neurological disorders, and age-related impairments. Your work will not only focus on physical recovery but also heavily involve educating clients on long-term wellness strategies to prevent further injury.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred but not mandatory.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida without any sanctions or board issues.
• Proficiency in various manual therapy techniques and the ability to design robust exercise programs individualized for each patient.
• Experience utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly Web PT, to enhance patient management and documentation accuracy.
• Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and rehabilitation protocols, backed by research-based evidence.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient and home health settings, specifically focused on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated history of successful patient outcomes through innovative treatment approaches.
• Experience in training or mentoring new staff or students in clinical settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The Guthrie Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range between USD 100,000 – 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
