Next Step Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Naples, Florida. Work Environment

This role is set within the comforting environment of client homes across Naples and surrounding areas. Our physical therapists engage directly with clients, allowing for the creation of tailored treatment plans in settings where patients feel most comfortable. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, nurses, and physical therapy assistants, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care delivery while maintaining a strong connection with clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assessing and evaluating clients' physical capabilities through specialized diagnostic tests and functional assessments to design personalized treatment plans.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions aimed at rehabilitating physical function, enhancing mobility, and relieving pain in accordance with physician prescriptions.
• Supervising the efforts of physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to established care plans and quality standards.
• Conducting home environment evaluations to recommend modifications that support safety and independence in daily activities.
• Administering manual therapies, including traction and massage, and utilizing various physical agents to aid rehabilitation efforts.
• Documenting clinical progress and outcomes meticulously, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries to facilitate effective communication with the healthcare team.
• Participating in interdisciplinary case conferences to refine treatment approaches and address multifaceted patient needs.
• Educating clients and their families about the use of physical therapy devices, exercises, and overall health management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population comprising individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Our clients range from post-operative patients to individuals managing chronic pain, all requiring a compassionate, thoughtful approach to their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• A valid State License for Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey sensitive information to clients and families.
• Proficiency in word processing and computer operations, as well as experience with electronic medical records.
• Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate varying patient needs and clinical situations.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in home health settings and those familiar with outpatient physical therapy practices stand to benefit greatly in this role. Training in evidence-based orthopedic rehabilitation methodologies and familiarity with the use of assistive devices will also enhance your capability to excel.

Compensation and Benefits

The starting annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience.
