Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions to devise effective physical therapy treatment plans.
• Employ a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modality application, to alleviate pain and improve mobility.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment strategies, continually reassessing patient progress and making necessary adjustments to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment protocols, and outcomes in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and the correct use of assistive devices and technology.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute insights on patient care and collaborate on treatment goals.
• Stay current on best practices and advancements in physical therapy through ongoing education, workshops, and participation in professional organizations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you'll work with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients, each with unique rehabilitation needs. This includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, neurological disorders, sports injuries, and rehabilitation after serious illnesses. Your contributions will be vital in helping patients restore function, enhance mobility, and regain independence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Possession of a valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including clinical documentation tools.
• A patient-centered approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple patients and treatment plans simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a hospital or clinical setting is required.
• Experience with diverse patient populations and various physical therapy modalities is highly desirable.
• Experience mentoring new graduates or students in clinical settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
