Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions in our rehabilitation facility.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate diverse therapeutic techniques, including exercise regimens, stretching, hands-on manual therapy, and the use of specialized equipment to alleviate pain.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on real-time feedback and outcomes.
• Provide education and training to patients and their families on proper physical therapy techniques, mobility strategies, and the use of assistive devices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to each patient's rehabilitation journey.
• Continuously pursue professional development opportunities, remaining informed of the latest methodologies in physical therapy practice through workshops and professional literature.
• Engage in regular re-evaluations of therapeutic goals, ensuring personalized care is consistently delivered.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists work with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, stroke rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Each therapist is trained to tailor their approach, ensuring therapies are adapted to meet the needs of individuals from all walks of life.

Qualifications

• Valid Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Hold a current state license in Physical Therapy within Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner.
• Competency in computer skills, including experience with electronic health record systems.
• Adaptability and agility in various treatment scenarios to meet patient needs effectively.
• Prior work experience in a clinical environment is preferred but not required as we also welcome new graduates.
