Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives and help shape a more inclusive learning environment as a Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work directly with elementary and PreK students in a supportive school setting focused on growth and achievement.

You'll work onsite with either an elementary autism program or a PreK special education classroom, collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure each student receives individualized support. This role values flexibility and a commitment to fostering success for every learner.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (Emergency certification not accepted)
• Experience supporting students in classroom environments, preferably with autism or early childhood
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and the ability to adapt instruction to diverse student needs
• Willingness to relocate temporarily (travelers and those with pending certifications may be considered)
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to students’ IEPs
• Provide direct instruction and behavioral support within a structured, nurturing classroom setting
• Work closely with support staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Track and communicate student progress to ensure IEP goals are met
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every student can succeed

This assignment is full-time, offering 37.5 hours per week onsite during the school year through May 2027. You’ll play a vital role in a dynamic educational team and have a rewarding impact on young learners’ growth.
