Ignite a passion for learning and make an impact as a middle school science educator in a rewarding contract opportunity located near Effingham, SC. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday from 7:15am to 2:45pm, with a 37.5-hour workweek, starting as soon as possible and continuing through May 21, 2027. You’ll help shape young minds in the general education setting, delivering engaging science curriculum and fostering curiosity and growth among your students.
Ideal candidates are dynamic educators who are dedicated to creating an inclusive and inspiring classroom environment. You will be managing a middle school caseload, working alongside fellow educators and contributing to a supportive school community.
Qualifications:
- Active teaching license in South Carolina—no exceptions
- Certification in Middle Level Science or Science (required)
- Experience teaching middle school science in a classroom setting preferred
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Adaptability and strong collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Delivering general education science instruction to middle school students
- Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards
- Assessing student progress and adapting instruction to meet diverse learner needs
- Creating a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborating with fellow educators, administrators, and families
- Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
