Bring your expertise in special education to an engaging, student-focused environment serving elementary and PreK learners with special needs. Two contract opportunities are open for dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact through onsite instruction and individualized support.
In these roles, you’ll work closely with students in either an Elementary Autism or PreK Special Education setting, fostering their growth and celebrating their achievements. Travel professionals and candidates with pending certifications are welcome to apply, provided an active Special Education license is secured prior to starting (please note that emergency certifications are not accepted).
Desired Background and Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teaching License required (emergency certs not accepted)
- Experience or genuine interest in working with Autism Spectrum Disorder and early childhood learners
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to diverse needs
- Supportive, collaborative approach in working with colleagues, families, and related service providers
- Flexibility and resourcefulness in dynamic school settings
- Willingness to commit through May 2027
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Employ evidence-based instructional strategies
- Track and document progress toward student goals
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom climate
- Partner with families to encourage student success
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
