Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold current South Carolina Special Education (SPED) certification
• Strong knowledge of best practices in special education, especially for mild intellectual disabilities
• Proven experience creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Comfortable adapting curriculum and providing targeted core instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized academic instruction in a core replacement setting
• Develop and deliver instruction aligned to each student’s IEP
• Adapt curriculum to address diverse learning styles and needs
• Implement all accommodations, modifications, and supports as outlined in IEPs
• Monitor progress through data collection and accurate documentation
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, administrators, and related service providers
• Communicate regularly and effectively with families
• Contribute actively to IEP meetings and development of student goals
• Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
