Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting elementary and Pre-K students in special education settings for a leading public school environment. This onsite role, based near Darlington, SC, is perfect for dedicated Special Education Teachers passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with unique learning needs.
Two positions are available, each focusing on distinct caseloads—one with elementary students diagnosed on the autism spectrum, and another with PreK students requiring specialized instruction. You'll thrive working in a collaborative setting, bringing your expertise to help shape individualized educational experiences and ensure the highest quality of care and instruction.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Special Education teaching license required (Emergency Certificates are not accepted)
- Experience with elementary or PreK populations, particularly students with autism, is preferred
- Ability to remain flexible and responsive within dynamic school settings
- Open to both local and travel candidates, including those with pending certifications
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address student needs
- Employ evidence-based instructional approaches tailored for special education
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and family communication
- Maintain accurate progress documentation and participate in meetings as required
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
