A welcoming educational community near Darlington is seeking two passionate professionals to deliver outstanding support and instruction in Special Education. This is a contract position, running through May 2027, with immediate openings for both an Elementary Autism Specialist and a PreK Special Education Teacher.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education (SPED) License (Emergency Certification not accepted)
- Ability to work onsite during standard school hours (37.5 per week)
- Experience with either elementary-aged students on the autism spectrum or PreK special education populations
- Open to candidates with completed or pending certifications
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Adaptability and commitment to inclusive, student-focused instruction
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students in assigned caseloads
- Provide direct instruction and specialized support to students in either an elementary autism or PreK SPED setting
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals
- Collaborate with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that nurtures every learner
- Stay current with best practices in special education
