Strong understanding of deaf culture and ability to foster inclusive classroom experiences. Professionalism, adaptability, and collaborative spirit when working with educators, staff, students, and families. Relevant certifications and adherence to ethical guidelines for interpreters in educational settings. Role Responsibilities: Interpret classroom-based instruction, facilitating effective communication between educators, students, and peers. Provide real-time ASL interpretation during meetings, assemblies, and school events. Assist with ASL instruction, reinforcing curriculum and supporting language acquisition for students. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure accessible learning environments. Adjust interpreting approaches to meet the individual needs of students.
