This Full-Time position is based in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Carteret, NJ. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage physical therapy treatment, aimed at relieving pain, preventing disability, and enhancing clients' muscle function and overall performance. This treatment is tailored according to each client's individualized care plan.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure that all prescribed therapy interventions are executed effectively and in alignment with the established plan of care.
• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical capabilities through specialized tests that evaluate nerve, muscle, and joint function, followed by the generation of detailed reports.
• Analyze and modify the home environments of clients for better rehabilitation outcomes, making practical recommendations aimed at enhancing independence.
• Provide in-home visits as needed, delivering therapy sessions that may include manual interventions, therapeutic exercises, and the application of physical agents like massage and traction.
• Collaborate actively with an interdisciplinary team by participating in case conferences, contributing to the development and revision of care plans based on holistic evaluations.
• Document each therapy session meticulously, preparing progress notes, initial evaluations, and discharge summaries for clinical records while adhering to compliance standards.
• Educate clients and families about their rehabilitation regimen and the effective use of therapeutic devices, ensuring comprehension and engagement in the care process.
• Contribute positively to the community and address the physical therapy needs that arise, reinforcing the integral role of physical therapy in comprehensive health care.
• Remain accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants during their sessions with clients, offering guidance and support as necessary.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license, along with automobile insurance.

• Proficient in utilizing evidence-based practices in clinical therapy settings.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
