Lecturer Pool - Department of Computer Science AY 26-27

Overview We are accepting applications for one or more temporary, part‑time lecturer positions to fill future courses in the Department of Computer Science. These positions will be part of a lecturer pool and instructors will be considered for appointments as Fall2026 and Spring2027 semesters become available. Duties of the Position Teach lower‑division computer programming and advanced topics in computer science. Teaching assignments may be at the California State University, East Bay main campus, the Hayward campus, Concord Center, or online. All faculty members are required to perform their duties within the state of California. Rank and Salary Lecturer AY (Range2) — $5,507 – $6,677 Lecturer AY (Range3) — $6,221 – $13,224 Lecturer AY (Range4) — $6,825 – $14,523 Lecturer AY (Range5) — $8,593 – $15,211 Anticipated salary range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Position appointment is subject to budgetary authorization. Date of Appointment Fall Semester begins August17,2026; Spring Semester begins January19,2027. Qualifications Applicants must possess a graduate (master's) degree in computer science and have post‑secondary teaching experience. Application Deadline Positions remain open until filled.
