Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial consultations to assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, documenting findings thoroughly.

• Develop detailed, personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, using evidence-based methodologies to promote healing and growth.

• Continuously monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.

• Follow up with clients who require hospitalization, maintaining communication with relevant specialists to ensure a smooth treatment process.

• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards while adhering to best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience in a counseling or therapeutic setting, with a focus on mental health support.

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for effective patient record management.

• Strong understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with clients, exhibiting genuine empathy and understanding.

Compensation and Benefits\n
