Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to deliver high-quality mental health services from the comfort of your home office. While most hours are within Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, some evening and weekend shifts may be required on a rotating basis to best meet patient needs. As part of a supportive and collaborative team, you will engage in regular case consultations and team meetings, ensuring comprehensive treatment approaches are upheld.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct complete assessments to ascertain the severity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood-related symptoms. This includes utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical judgment.

• Collaborate closely with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in both individual and group settings to address mood disorders effectively.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, empowering them with self-care strategies and treatment options.

• Regularly monitor and assess clients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.

• Work alongside psychiatrists and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care, ensuring all aspects of a client’s health are addressed.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in the treatment of mood disorders, utilizing this knowledge to inform clinical work.

• Maintain thorough and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Engage actively in professional development, including training and workshops specific to mood disorder treatment, and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

• Advocate for clients, promoting understanding and support around mental health issues within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Licensed Psychologist in New York State.

• Exceptional clinical skills, particularly in evaluating and treating mood disorders.

• Strong communication skills to facilitate rapport with clients and collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience focusing on mood disorders is preferred.

• Experience in applying evidence-based treatment modalities such as CBT and DBT with demonstrated success.

• Familiarity with psychopharmacology and the nuances of working alongside psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

The salary for this role is competitive, ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 per year, complemented by potential bonuses.
